Norwood
, MA, September 4, 2008 –WindstarTechnologies co-founder and Chair, Paula N. Singer, Esq. is presenting a session entitled “U.S. Taxation of Foreign Nationals” at the 12th annual Maine Tax Forum held November 5 – 6, 2008 at the Augusta Civic Center in Augusta, Maine.  The Maine Tax Services, the Internal Revenue Service, and Thomas College are sponsoring the Forum.

“Taxation of foreign nationals is becoming an increasingly important issue for tax practitioners because of the increased IRS focus on international tax returns and the problems obtaining future immigration benefits that can occur for foreign national taxpayers who submit incorrect tax returns,” said Singer.  “My session will help tax professionals, accountants, enrolled agents, CPAs, and tax attorneys, understand the tax rules and procedures that they need to know to prepare correct tax returns for foreign nationals.”
